As a boyhood Killie fan, Alan managed to live his dream and play for the Ayrshire club for six seasons.
He started his career in Greenock where his early displays saw the biggest clubs in Britain chase his signature, Liverpool, Chelsea and Rangers were keen on the youngster but he opted to join Nottingham Forest under the legendary Brian Clough.
Things didn't quite work out for Alan at the City Ground and he came back up north, firstly returning to Cappielow before his switch to Rugby Park.
It's another cracking interview packed with honesty.

Brian truly is the boy who lived the dream. As a Dons fan as a kid, he got the opportunity to star and captain the club and played for them for 12 years, he won the League and Scottish Cups, where he scored a winning penalty.
He also represented Scotland as well as spells at Falkirk, Dundee and Ross County.
A devout Christian, Brian also reveals how his faith has helped him throughout his footballing career and his life.

Derek chats to Scottish footballing legend and a man synonymous with the famous Queen's Park, Eddie Hunter.
Eddie's story in the game is unique and fascinating. He spent over 30 years as player and manager at the Spiders and still helps out at Lesser Hampden at the ripe old age of 76.
He has a wealth of great tales, from being hauled into court for fighting with another coach, scrapping with a fan, fitting Sir Alex Ferguson's bathroom and turning down paid roles with a host of clubs including Rangers.
It was an honour to sit in Eddie's company and listen to a true great of Scottish football.
